Julie’s Jaunts – Sale Fell and Ling Fell

Under leaden skies, our final day in Cumbria this year took us to two delightful fells. Situated in the north western part of the Lake District, Sale Fell and Ling Fell overlook Bassenthwaite Lake. I’ll let the photos tell the story.

Do you remember before March 2020, when the worst thing about a holiday was bad weather? A salutary lesson in counting our blessings. Never again will I complain about wind and rain!

We have no idea what next year will bring but we very much hope to be able to explore some more of the country and share our adventures!

About Julie Haiselden

Between 1999-2019, I worked in the NHS and am now a Church of England verger and National Trust room guide. I've written three published novels and am an amateur blogger. As well as being a school alumna, I occasionally tread the boards. I enjoy rambling and taking photos. Since 2016, I've been part of the reviewing team at Whispering Stories.

This looks like it was a fun trip!

I’d never heard of a fell before, but they look lovely.
