Julie Haiselden – Reviewing Policy

In return for a complimentary published book or advance reading copy, I will submit an honest review, adhering to the accepted five star criteria.

My waiting list is limited to ten books at a time and I undertake to review a book within a twelve week window. If you wish me to review as part of a blog tour, please give six weeks’ advance notice in order for me to fit this into my schedule.

If I cannot award a book three stars, I will offer constructive feedback to the author/publisher/agent as appropriate and not publish unless requested to do so.

I reserve the right to refuse to review a book, particularly if it is >450 pages in length and never review:

  • Erotica
  • Horror
  • Poetry
  • Self-Help
  • Religion

I accept paperback books from:

  • Authors
  • Publishers
  • Agents
  • Blog Tours

I review eBooks as part of the Whispering Stories team and ask that such requests are sent to me (when the list is open) via:

Thank you for considering me as a reviewer for your work; if you feel your book meets the above criteria, please email me as below:

About Julie Haiselden

Between 1999-2019, I worked in the NHS and am now a Church of England verger and National Trust room guide. I've written three published novels and am an amateur blogger. As well as being a school alumna, I occasionally tread the boards. I enjoy rambling and taking photos. Since 2016, I've been part of the reviewing team at Whispering Stories.
