Catching up with Miss Ellie-Mae

Miss EM has had a very busy time, as only eight year olds can.

She has had a very successful year at school and recently became the proud owner of a new puppy; a lovely little girl called Charlie! However, more about her another time. This post is devoted to EM’s other pet, Hami the hamster and his adventures.  It appears that Hami is no ordinary hamster …

IMG_20170405_085037Actually, it would be better if EM told you in her own words and that brings me to the point of this post. You see, Hami’s story has reached the second stage in Radio Two’s ‘500 Words’ 2017 competition!

So you’ll understand she cannot divulge anything further at the moment but wants me to share her good news.

Hami’s story will now be assessed, along with 4,999 other entries to whittle the number down to 50. EM will let us know of her progress and needless to say, many fingers are crossed …

And below is a photo of the young gentleman in question and his partner in crime, Miss Ellie-Mae herself!

We’ll keep you posted … WTS
